Tierra, the band named “Best R&B Vocal Group” by four leading magazines including Billboard started their career in East Los Angeles with a blend of rock, pop, jazz, R&B and salsa. The result was a Latin R&B rhythm which produced classics like “Together”, “Gonna Find Her”, “Memories” and “Zoot Suit Boogie”.  Founded in 1972, the band has performed internationally and continues to perform with their unique smooth and soulful sounds.

Throughout Tierra’s history, Rudy Salas has been, and continues to be the leader of the band, record producer, and head of business affairs for Tierra. In speaking with Mr. Rudy Salas he provided us his take on what “Merry Christmas My Love” means to him and the band. “The new single, “Merry Christmas my love” is very special to Tierra, because it’s the first Christmas song that Tierra has released in it’s career. It is also very special song to me, because it is a special Christmas love message to my lovely wife Joanna. Also, it is our first endeavor with our new label, Music Access, Inc., which we’re very excited about.”  Robert Gonzalez, CEO/President of Music Access, Inc. states“It is a true honor to represent the legendary Tierra, their brand, music and their ideas.”

Tierra was the first Latino band to have four songs on the national chart and two simultaneously in the Top 100. They have performed in such prestigious shows such as Carnegie Hall, The American Music Awards, American Bandstand, and The Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. Tierra is widely known to have played a role in opening doors for other Latino and non-Latino superstars of today, including comedian Paul Rodriguez, Arsenio Hall, Sheila E., Gloria Estefan, Los Lobos, Latino Comic of the Year, Rudy Moreno, and more.

When I first heard this single I immediately began reminiscing about the “Good Ole’ Days”, yes, those days where the entire family gathered on Christmas as we played football outside, sipping on eggnog, watching our favorite NFL game and the lights beaming from the Christmas tree. This new single is not just a smooth R&B holiday song, it is an all around, feel good track that will have you remembering the best of times. Once you add this to your collection you will no doubt place in your top rotation of favorites such as the Temptations, Mariah Carey, Boys II Men, Jackson 5, Luther Vandross and many other classics. Tierra’s “Merry Christmas My Love” will have you cuddling up with your special loved one this holiday season.

Don’t forget to set your calendars for Friday, November 4th, 2016 as Tierra is back to give their fans worldwide a very special Christmas single. You may visit them at www.tierramusic.com. (Via www.monsternationnow.com)

Music Access, Inc. signs TIERRA

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (July 6, 2016) On Monday, June 27, 2016 the legendary group from Los Angeles, TIERRA officially signed with Dallas, Texas based Music Access, Inc., spearheaded by CEO Robert Gonzalez, a 20 year veteran of the music industry. Accompanied by industry veteran Rikki Rincon, President of Music Access Latino, a division of Music Access, Inc, together, the TIERRA and the Music Access, Inc team will release the latest and long anticipated new CD with a date yet to be determined, wherever music is sold, both nationally and internationally.

Over 40 years ago in Los Angeles, California brothers Rudy and Steve Salas aka the “Salas Brothers”, formed a group of guys doo wopping and singing some classic oldies and a movement that continues to entertain legions of fan across the USA and around the world by the name TIERRA. Their biggest hit was the 1980 remake of The Intruders’ 1967 hit “Together”, written by Gamble & Huff, which reached #18 on the Billboard Hot 100, and #9 on the US Billboard R&B chart. TIERRA has the distinction of being the first Latino band to have four songs on the national chart with two of them in the Top 100 at the same time. Legends is what we have in TIERRA and the many awards, accolades, television appearances, not to mention performing as backup for the King of Soul, James Brown, TIERRA have done it all.  From American Bandstand, The Merv Griffin Show, American Music Awards to being the first Chicano group to perform at the prestigious Carnegie Hall, TIERRA are in a class of their own.

Music Access, Inc, CEO, Robert Gonzalez fills with emotion as we prepare for the next chapter of TIERRA by stating the following, “Something magical is hard to find in this business, but not with TIERRA. TIERRA is a part of our history, part of the backbone of a very special era and master musicians that have withstood the test of time. We are honored and humbled to house the next chapter in the journey of such an amazing band.” For more information regarding TIERRA and this new venture, bookings and interviews you may contact Music Access, Inc. at 972-686-7770 Ext 14. For all media related information contact Rikki Rincon at r.rincon@musicaccessinc.com. Be on the lookout for a very special announcement soon!

TIERRA Old Skool Legends at Fiesta San Antonio

On Friday, April 22nd my business partner Robert Gonzalez/CEO of Music Access, Inc. and I took to the road from Dallas to San Antonio to not just partake in the annual “Fiesta San Antonio” but to meet, one on one with leader Rudy Salas of the world-renowned Tierra. The meeting had so many meanings surrounding it, many that are in still being worked on, but rest assure experiencing Tierra live is something we truly cannot write about and make you feel what we felt.

As we arrived to stage where Tierra were set to perform thousands and I bet to guess, well over 7,500 were packed in to Market Square to see Tierra. We expected a packed audience but we were not prepared for what we experienced. For a legendary group such as Tierra that have been together for over 40+ years to continue to draw audiences such as this was in itself surreal. From Doo-Wop, R&B, Ballads, Salsa to Funk, Tierra covers it all and to see them live reminds me and those in the audience what performances should be. From well choreographed moves, musician solos, drummer and conga highlights, this was a true show. From their show intro to going into classic medleys, to dance routines, Tierra truly engages their audience!

It’s no wonder their tour calendar is packed throughout the year, with shows such as this one in San Antonio, Tierra shows no signs of ever stopping. I am excited as our talks continue and the moment something worthy of reporting back to everyone is ever confirmed we will make sure you know first. For everyone in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area reading this, Tierra will perform in the City of Desoto on Saturday, September 10, 2016. If you are interested in booking Tierra for your next major event, public or private contact me at my BRAVO! Latino office at 972-960-2525 Ext 101 or rikki@bravo-latino.com.
