Tierra, the band named “Best R&B Vocal Group” by four leading magazines including Billboard started their career in East Los Angeles with a blend of rock, pop, jazz, R&B and salsa. The result was a Latin R&B rhythm which produced classics like “Together”, “Gonna Find Her”, “Memories” and “Zoot Suit Boogie”.  Founded in 1972, the band has performed internationally and continues to perform with their unique smooth and soulful sounds.

Throughout Tierra’s history, Rudy Salas has been, and continues to be the leader of the band, record producer, and head of business affairs for Tierra. In speaking with Mr. Rudy Salas he provided us his take on what “Merry Christmas My Love” means to him and the band. “The new single, “Merry Christmas my love” is very special to Tierra, because it’s the first Christmas song that Tierra has released in it’s career. It is also very special song to me, because it is a special Christmas love message to my lovely wife Joanna. Also, it is our first endeavor with our new label, Music Access, Inc., which we’re very excited about.”  Robert Gonzalez, CEO/President of Music Access, Inc. states“It is a true honor to represent the legendary Tierra, their brand, music and their ideas.”

Tierra was the first Latino band to have four songs on the national chart and two simultaneously in the Top 100. They have performed in such prestigious shows such as Carnegie Hall, The American Music Awards, American Bandstand, and The Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. Tierra is widely known to have played a role in opening doors for other Latino and non-Latino superstars of today, including comedian Paul Rodriguez, Arsenio Hall, Sheila E., Gloria Estefan, Los Lobos, Latino Comic of the Year, Rudy Moreno, and more.

When I first heard this single I immediately began reminiscing about the “Good Ole’ Days”, yes, those days where the entire family gathered on Christmas as we played football outside, sipping on eggnog, watching our favorite NFL game and the lights beaming from the Christmas tree. This new single is not just a smooth R&B holiday song, it is an all around, feel good track that will have you remembering the best of times. Once you add this to your collection you will no doubt place in your top rotation of favorites such as the Temptations, Mariah Carey, Boys II Men, Jackson 5, Luther Vandross and many other classics. Tierra’s “Merry Christmas My Love” will have you cuddling up with your special loved one this holiday season.

Don’t forget to set your calendars for Friday, November 4th, 2016 as Tierra is back to give their fans worldwide a very special Christmas single. You may visit them at www.tierramusic.com. (Via www.monsternationnow.com)
